A man accused of sending a bogus email which was read as evidence in a coroner's court inquest has been granted interim name suppression.
The 52-year-old Lower Hutt man, who was arrested by Kapiti Police yesterday, appeared before a registrar at Porirua District Court this morning.
He is charged with forgery, attempting to pervert the course of justice and using a forged document.
The man has been remanded on bail without plea to return to court on January 17.
Flight examiner David Fielding, 30 and student pilot James Taylor, 19, died on February 17, 2008, when their helicopter and a Cessna piloted by Bevan Hookway, 17, collided above the Kapiti Coast town.
