Man badly burned at Canterbury meatworks

A 63-year-old worker received caustic burns at Ashburton's Canterbury Meatpackers this morning.

The man was flown by Westpac rescue helicopter to Christchurch Hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

The incident happened about 10.30am.
