Images of a man wanted in relation to an attempted liquor store robbery in Christchurch on Friday have been released by police.
The man is described as Maori, aged in his 30s, about 178cm (5ft10), of slim build with a gaunt face and small moustache.
He was wearing a green fleece jacket with a grey hoodie underneath, orange high-visibility pants, grey sports shoes and sunglasses.
The man was caught on security camera at the Henry's liquor outlet on Marshland Rd in Shirley.
Police said he was armed with a knife and is understood to have tried to enter the store just after 10pm.
