A man's dispute with a "cheating'' pokie machine will end up costing him a court appearance.
The 22-year-old Wanaka man was arrested after allegedly attacking a gambling machine inside a Wanaka bar abut 6pm yesterday, causing "considerable'' damage to the machine, Senior Constable Sean Hurley said.
"He didn't think the machine was right. I think he thought the machine was cheating him,'' he said.
The man would appear in the Queenstown District Court on March 26, facing one charge of wilful damage.
