Police in Christchurch are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked with a piece of broken glass.
The man - whose age has not been given - was assaulted on Stanmore Road, near Gloucester St, at about 2.30am today.
The extent of his injuries has not been revealed.
"Police are seeking to speak to anyone who has witnessed the incident and or spoke to the victim or have any information relating to this incident," a statement said.
