Witnesses are being sought after a Wellington man suffered a suspected broken eye socket when he was robbed while walking home early this morning.
The 23-year-old man was walking home along Torrens Terrace in the suburb of Mt Cook around 2am when he was attacked and robbed by two men, Detective Sergeant Rachael Casbolt said.
They pulled up alongside the victim in a white coloured station wagon and one of the men got out and demanded that the victim hand over his bag.
The victim was punched in the face while they demanded he hand over his property, Ms Casbolt said.
He suffered significant injuries to his face, including a suspected broken eye socket in the attack.
