A man has been hospitalised a broken arm and facial injuries after he was attacked by two men in central Christchurch, police say.
The assault happened at a bus stop near the corner of Lyndon and Clarence Streets about 6.30pm yesterday, Detective Sergeant Richard Quested said.
The first alleged offender was described as being in his early to mid 20s, was Maori or Polynesian with short black hair, had a stocky build and was about 1.85m tall.
He had small tattoos on his arms and was wearing a black t-shirt and black long trousers.
The second man was also aged in his early to mid 20s, was Caucasian, about 1.8m tall and with blond or brown hair of medium length.
