A man has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition following a serious assault in Wanaka early this morning.
Police were called to the Night n Day store on Ardmore St, Wanaka just after 3am.
A male in his late 20s was then airlifted by helicopter to Dunedin Hospital in a critical condition.
Police said two males in their 30s have been arrested in relation to the assault, and enquiries were continuing.
