KEY POINTS:
It was a case of third strike and you're out for a young Blenheim man arrested three times in the same day yesterday.
Constable Dan Mattison, of Blenheim, said the 17-year-old was arrested around lunchtime for allegedly stealing underwear.
He was processed and released on bail to appear in the Blenheim District Court on Monday.
However, about 3pm, the same man was arrested again, and charged with offensive behaviour.
Due to the minor nature of the charge, he was released on bail for a second time.
But his luck ran out just before midnight when he was arrested for a third time with two other men, found by police on the roof of the old working men's club.
He was charged with unlawfully being on a building, and detained in police custody to prevent further offending.
The man was due to appear in Blenheim District Court today.
