A 24-year-old Mt Wellington man has been arrested in connection to the discovery of an incomplete skeleton found in an Auckland house last September.
The man was arrested last night by police working on Operation Tyson and charged with interfering with human remains.
He will appear in the Auckland District Court this morning.
The headless remains of a skeleton was found by contractors demolishing a derelict Mt Wellington house in Barrack Rd on September 30 last year.
Police believe they know the identity of the deceased and are in the process of notifying his next of kin of the overnight developments.
