Man arrested over railway station beating

Police have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly beating a 40-year-old man at Auckland's Glen Eden railway station last night.

The arrested man was to appear in Waitakere District Court today charged with injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Police said the victim was "severely beaten" by a group of youths at about 7pm.

He is in a stable condition in hospital.
