A man allegedly waving two guns in a driveway has been arrested.
Senior Sergeant Kent Holdsworth said police were called to a house in the Hamilton suburb of Fairfield today.
"The man was described as standing at the end of a driveway with a pistol in each hand," Mr Holdsworth said.
He said when police arrived, the man ran back into his house.
Mr Holdsworth said the area was cordoned off and armed police were called to the scene.
"On their arrival they located and arrested the man in the driveway of the address," he said.
Mr Holdsworth said two imitation guns were found in the man's home.
He said a 46 year-old has been charged with unlawfully carrying imitation firearms.
