KEY POINTS:
An alleged bank robber has been arrested in Hamilton after a police raid on his house.
The police allege a 43 year-old man handed over a note demanding money at a Westpac Bank branch yesterday morning.
Detective Sergeant Neville Ross said the man would appear in the Hamilton District Court this morning.
Mr Ross said police identified the man and obtained a search warrant for his home in Hamilton.
"He was found on the balcony of a dwelling looking down on Police searching his home," he said.
