The man charged with an axe-attack on the Gisborne Police Station yesterday morning has been remanded on bail to appear next month.
Kape John Campbell, 27, appeared in Gisborne District Court on three charges of criminal damage.
Security footage recorded him shattering the station's glass front doors and smashing the windows of two patrol cars parked nearby.
Campbell entered no plea and was bailed to appear again on November 4.
