The long arm of the law has stretched 32 years to nab a former Bay of Plenty man arrested at Auckland Airport on Monday night as he flew in from Australia.
He allegedly owes $8500 maintenance unpaid since 1977.
The 57-year-old, who has lived in Australia for more than 30 years, did not plead in Tauranga District Court on Tuesday.
He was freed on bail.
