Porirua police are not ruling out further charges after a man was arrested for the alleged sex abuse of young boys.
Detective Sergeant Glenn Barnett, from Porirua CIB's child abuse team, said 35-year-old Porirua factory worker David Hugh Chord was arrested on August 14 for indecent assaults on three young boys.
The investigation began after a parent raised concerns, he said.
Police were appealing for information on Chord and were not ruling out further charges.
"We encourage people to contact police if they are worried or suspect their child may have been abused," said Mr Barnett.
Chord appeared in Porirua District Court last Friday and was remanded in custody until September 9.
Mr Barnett said Chord entered no plea on the 15 charges he faces.
They include five charges of doing an indecent act with or on a boy under 12 years, seven charges of doing an indecent act with or on a boy under 16 years, and three charges of indecent assault against a boy under 16 years.
The offending was alleged to have taken place between February and August this year.
