A man has been arrested and charged with rape after a couple awoke to an intruder in their home near Nelson.
Police said a 34-year-old man had been arrested and would appear in Nelson District Court today on a charge of sexual violation by rape.
Police were alerted to the alleged attack when a couple woke in the early hours of August 9 to find a man in their bedroom.
