Man arrested after stabbing

A man is in custody following a stabbing in Manawatu yesterday.

The armed offenders squad was called to the incident in the Marton town centre about 7.30pm, a Wanganui Police spokesman said.

At least one person was injured in the attack and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A man was arrested and was in custody in Wanganui.

No further details were available.
