KEY POINTS:
A Lower Hutt man will appear in court tomorrow after he was arrested following a police car chase along the Wellington Motorway today.
Wellington police said the pursuit started after they went to check out a burglary in the suburb of Kelburn at 3pm.
The pursuit was abandoned a short time later on State Highway 2, at Ngauranga, because of safety concerns for other drivers.
Police said they found the man's abandoned vehicle shortly after 3.30pm in Horokiwi, 1km south of Petone.
The man was found a short time later in bush in Horokiwi and was arrested.
The 29-year-old man will appear in Wellington District Court tomorrow on a number of charges.
