A Nelson man has been arrested after allegedly setting off fireworks around sleeping huts at an air force base near Nelson.
The incident happened about 9pm yesterday at Dip Flat where the Royal New Zealand Air Force were completing an exercise, police said.
A 24-year-old was caught by air force staff and police charged him with unlawfully being on a property.
