Police have arrested a man on the run for two weeks after an alleged family violence incident on Auckland's North Shore where a woman was seriously assaulted.
Karl Brown allegedly assaulted a woman at an Albany address on June 7.
Brown went on the run and until this afternoon, had been actively avoiding arrest, said Detective Inspector Bruce Scott.
The 29-year-old was found by police hiding under a bed at an address in Beachhaven, Auckland
Shortly before Brown was located by police, Mr Scott issued a public appeal for information.
