A man will appear in court on Monday after a women was attacked in a public toilet in Tauranga today.
Police said the man will be charged with robbery. The attack on the 24-year-old woman occurred in the women's toilet at the Tauranga Information Centre in Willow St around 8am.
The Bay of Plenty Times reported that members of the public heard screams and saw a man running from the toilet carrying a handbag. They found a woman with injuries to her face slumped inside the toilet block.
Three men chased the alleged attacker and managed to hold him until police arrived.
