A man appeared in the North Shore District Court this morning charged with the murder of a man in Glenfield earlier this week.
The 27-year-old Waterview man was remanded in custody until later this month.
Court documents allege the man murdered Paul Louie Chong, 51, on Monday, May 11.
Police are also seeking a second person as part of their ongoing investigation into Mr Chong's murder.
He is 21-year-old Will Junior Dillon, from Avondale.
A warrant for Dillon's arrest has been issued and police warn that anyone assisting him to avoid arrest will also face criminal charges.
As part of their inquiries, police are also seeking a white Subaru Legacy sedan (1989 -1993) which had false registration plates at the time of the murder.
They believe it may be parked somewhere in the North Shore suburbs of Glenfield or Torbay.
Anyone who sees the Subaru is asked to call police on 09 477 5000.
