KEY POINTS:
A 41-year-old man was airlifted to Hawkes Bay Hospital this morning after crashing his car into a tree.
The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, received head and arm injuries when he crashed his car off State Highway 2 just north of Raupunga in Northern Hawkes Bay.
His condition was not immediately known.
