KEY POINTS:
A 20-year-old Nelson man yesterday admitted having unlawful sexual connection with a 13-year-old girl, but maintained he was the victim.
Police told Nelson District Court Matthew Robin Jordan had driven the girl to a secluded spot near Nelson Airport on May 13 where he asked her to perform a sexual act on him, which she did, the Nelson Mail reported.
On June 23 Jordan contacted the girl again via text message at 1.30am asking her to sneak out of her house and meet him and a friend.
At the friend's house the girl smoked cannabis and watched a pornographic film with the pair before having sex with both of them.
She left the house around 3am and phoned her father for a ride home.
The girl told police she had been reluctant but consented to sex.
Jordan initially denied having sex with her, but later admitted engaging in a sexual act saying he had only done so because he was being blackmailed. He claimed he had been raped by the girl.
Jordan is due to appear on November 7 for sentencing.
