The trial for the man who is accused of setting a Wellington storage facility on fire, destroying millions of dollars worth of property, has started in the High Court at Wellington today.
The Kiwi Self Storage building in Rongotai went up in flames in early April, destroying and damaging items owned by hundreds of people stored there.
The man's name suppression was due to lapse today.
Justice Simon France denied an application to continue name suppression, but he granted interim name suppression until tomorrow evening to give time to appeal that ruling.
The accused has denied setting the facility on fire.
