KEY POINTS:
A 30-year-old man charged with the attempted murder of his three children was further remanded in custody after a brief appearance at the Lower Hutt District Court today.
The man, who has continued interim name suppression, was charged after the children -- girls aged three and 18 months and an eight-week-old boy -- were stabbed in their Naenae, Lower Hutt, home on February 18.
The three children all received serious injuries.
The man also faces one charge of kidnapping.
His lawyer, Greg King, requested a second pre-depositions conference so further psychiatric reports could be obtained.
Judge Peter Butler remanded the man in custody, to reappear in court on May 8.
