A Northland woman remains in a critical but stable condition in Auckland Hospital intensive care unit after allegedly being runover by her partner in a domestic incident.
The 40-year-old woman, from Matauri Bay, north of the Bay of Islands, was airlifted to Whangarei Hospital before being transferred to Auckland with critical chest injuries after the November 23 incident, The Northern Advocate reported today.
A 56-year-old man, also from Matauri Bay, has appeared in Kaikohe District Court on charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, driving while disqualified and driving with excess breath alcohol.
He was remanded in custody to reappear on December 10.
