A former Australian education official caught waiting for a 14-year-old New Zealand "girl" he had allegedly groomed on the internet has been given permission by a Canberra magistrate to continue using the internet.
Magistrate John Burns today changed Murray Colin Stubbs' bail conditions, to allow him to use the internet to find employment, after the federal education policy adviser was sacked, the ABC reported.
He is accused of using online chat rooms to lure young girls for sex, and was arrested at a Canberra bus station in January.
Police said he was waiting for a 14-year-old New Zealand girl, an online identity created by officers.
