Man accused of Christchurch stabbing

A 28-year-old man will appear in Christchurch District Court today after allegedly stabbing a man at a home in the city last night.

The 24-year-old victim was today in a stable condition at Christchurch hospital.

Police said they were called to an address on Gloucester Street shortly before midnight and had charged a man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

A scene examination and interviews with potential witnesses will be conducted today.
