The second man accused of bashing two French tourists has today been remanded in custody.
Bo-Tamati Rawiri appeared in Tauranga District Court to face two charges of aggravated robbery following the beating of two French hitchhikers on State Highway 2 in Papamoa in July.
Rawiri was remanded in custody and the matter will now be dealt with at a post-committal conference scheduled for September 18, where his co-accused Che Bridges' matter will also be dealt with.
Both men's appearance at the post-committal conference has been excused.
