KEY POINTS:
A man is due to appear in court this afternoon charged with sex offences against at least six members of the same family between about 1968 and this year.
Police arrested the 69-year-old office manager from the Auckland suburb of Hillsborough today.
He will be charged in Auckland District Court with indecency between a man and boy, indecent acts on a girl under 12, sodomy, rape of a girl under 12 and indecent assault of a girl (or girls) over 16.
Detective Sergeant Andy King said allegations about the man's behaviour emerged a couple of months ago and detectives have been investigating since.
"There may well be more charges laid at a later date and who knows how much further this investigation will take us in terms of allegations about who offended against who and how."
