Man, 85, dies after cutting leg with saw

An elderly man is dead after severing a blood vessel in his leg while using a circular saw at his home at Torbay on Auckland's North Shore yesterday afternoon.

The 85-year-old man was apparently doing some home maintenance when the accident happened and ambulance officers could not save him.

Police said his family was still being notified and his name had not been released.
