Man, 78, missing in Mangere

Police are appealing to the public for assistance in helping to find a 78-year-old who has gone missing in Mangere East.

Sooitumui Ramoni was last seen by family at his Chaplin St address around 9pm yesterday. They discovered he was missing about 1am and police have been searching for him since then.

Mr Ramoni is a Polynesian around 158cm tall, with black, balding hair, is clean shaven, and was wearing a light blue jumper, black track pants, black socks with no shoes and wears thick silver glasses.

Police said he had an extremely limited short term memory span, so could appear confused.

Anyone who has seen Mr Ramoni or has knowledge of his whereabouts should contact police on (09) 261 1300.
