A 22-year-old man has been remanded in custody after being charged with raping a 15-year-old girl in Christchurch last month.
Elijah James Coker, a concrete worker from Christchurch, was arrested this morning.
He appeared at Christchurch District Court today charged with raping the girl in the Linwood area of the city on March 5.
A community magistrate remanded Coker in custody until April 20 for an appearance from prison via audio visual link.
The rape was reported to police in the early hours after the teen was found by a member of the public.
