A 20-year-old Christchurch man will appear in the district court this morning in relation to an attack on a sex worker.
The man been charged with assault with intent to commit sexual violation after police executed a search warrant at a Phillipstown address yesterday.
The attack occurred in the early hours of Friday morning when a prostitute, in her twenties was left with minor injuries after being assaulted by a man in the Christchurch CBD.
Detective Sergeant Grant Collins credits the arrest to information police received from the public.
