Males and females exceed two million mark each

Male and female populations have each exceeded the two million mark, the latest Statistics New Zealand figures reveal.

At September 30, the population of New Zealand was estimated to be 4,072,500.

Statistics said New Zealand had an estimated 2,003,400 males and 2,069,100 females.
