Police have opened an investigation after a body was found in Otago Harbour near Dunedin this afternoon.
A member of the public found the male body in the harbour basin about 1pm, Senior Sergeant Jason Guthrie said.
A diver had recovered the body, he said.
Police are investigating how the man died and who he was.
