Soaring house prices in the Auckland region could pay off for the Make-A-Wish charity, with the group benefiting if a Rodney house being auctioned this weekend rises high above the reserve price.
All proceeds raised above the reserve in this Saturday's auction of the Gulf Harbour property will go to the charity, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.
G.J. Gardner Rodney owner Elaine Morley said the property had been a "labour of love for everyone involved".
"With a number of people showing interest we are all hoping for a good result."
