Rail commuters are facing major delays in Auckland this morning after two separate signal failures.
Travellers are urged to use alternative transport after signals stopped working on both the western line and also at Papakura affecting the southern and eastern lines.
Brooke Donovan, spokeswoman for rail operator Veolia, said there were major delays and commuters should avoid train services. The signals were the responsibility of KiwiRail.
