Traffic on Auckland’s Southern Motorway is backed up for over 8km after a truck overturned near the CBD this morning.
The New Zealand Transport Agency said the two right lanes were blocked under the Wellington St overpass on the northbound side.
The lanes have now reopened.
A police spokesperson said they were called to the crash at 5.50am between the Wellington St on-ramp and Fanshawe St on-ramp.
The truck has since been righted and towed away.
According to Google Maps, traffic was slow-moving from Ellerslie, more than 8km away from the accident.
A spokesperson from St John said they were not called to the scene and there were no injuries.
