A crash has marred the final event at the World Athletics Championships in Christchurch.
Two wheelchair athletes collided in the closing moments of the marathon, throwing one out of his chair.
Reporter Lesley Murdoch says the other then collided with a spectator, who was also in a wheelchair.
"Thankfully we can report the bloods been cleaned up and there's a couple of black eyes but apart from that all is well."
The event also saw a new world record set, the bench mark in the T11 category for sight impaired athletes was smashed by 16 minutes.
