The men's interclub teams were in action at Mahunga golf club on Saturday and, at the end of the day, both teams remained at the top of their respective tables.
At home, the division 7 team were playing the team from the Boulcott's Farm Heritage golf club and they made use of the home advantage to post a convincing 13 to 1 win, a scoreline that extended their lead in the division to 12 points, but they still have five rounds to go and the lead is not an insurmountable one.
The division 11 team were away to Kapiti and the result was a 7 each draw. The points total kept Mahunga at the top of the table, but their lead was trimmed from 9 points to just 5. That lead was 10 points two rounds ago and, with five further rounds in the competition, solid wins at home are a priority.
The club competition on Saturday was a Stableford round. In the first group, Mark Logan was at the top with 39 points, with Anita Karaitiana the runner-up on 37, followed by Martin Andrew and Michelle Coley on 36 points. The second group had Mike White and Phillip Granich on 38 points, with Paul Croft one point adrift.
The women played the first of two rounds for the Nancy MacCormack Foursomes on Saturday, which saw the lead taken by the pairing of Heather Ousey and Robyn Bound.

The Alister Bruce Affordable Sheds on the 10th hole was not struck. The All Teed up on the fourth hole was taken out by Michelle Coley. There was just the one hole in two, which was scored by Ngaire Graham.
Sunday's club competition was a medal round, and it saw some better scoring. The first group was a Karaitiana benefit, with Byron taking the honours with a 65 nett, with Kurt one stroke back and then Wayne on a 72 nett rounding out the prizes for the group.
The second group also saw a 65 nett at the top, with that score being posted by Colin McAuley, with a gap back to Noeline Stevenson and Haira Paku on 71.

The best of the women was Jocelyn Parker, with her total of 41 points giving her a one-point margin over Daphne Jordan in the second group. In the first group, Janet Campbell led the way with 38 points, with Heather Small taking second place on 35.
The day's best score was in the men's second group, with Geoff Parker scoring 46 points, to be comfortably ahead of Trevor Oliver in second place on 39, with Ian Gemmill taking third place on 38.
