Maggie Barry has quit her drive-time show on RadioLIVE to pursue other projects.
Ms Barry said she had decided not to renew her contract because she wanted the time and energy to focus on a number of projects she had underway for next year.
Her last day on air will be on December 22.
"I have enjoyed my time at RadioLIVE, there's never a dull moment and I will miss my colleagues and, of course, our loyal listeners," she said.
"Hosting a daily radio show has been stimulating but it is enormously time consuming and I want more flexibility to travel and write and do other things."
Group Programme Director Jana Rangooni paid tribute to Ms Barry's contribution to RadioLIVE.
"Maggie Barry is the consummate professional broadcaster and RadioLIVE has been lucky to have her for the last two years. She is one of the country's best interviewers and has demonstrated that intelligence and integrity on a daily basis on Drive," said Ms Rangooni.
"Maggie will be missed by her colleagues and listeners, but we respect the fact she wants to focus on other areas and we absolutely wish her well."
Options for a new drive-show host are now under consideration, RadioLIVE said.
No decisions are expected to be made until the New Year.
