A magazine could make Masterton a household name in Auckland with over 100,000 copies of the promotional journal distributed across the city today.
The magazine, called Masterton - Affordable Country Living, is a Wairarapa Times-Age and Masterton District Council MyMasterton initiative, aimed at tempting Aucklanders away from their lengthy commutes and ballooning house prices.
The magazine was distributed as an insert in the NZ Herald within Auckland city today.
Masterton's economic development programme manager Tina Nixon said the magazine was a really good reflection of the quality of the province.
"It will make people in Auckland sit up and take notice," she said.
