A batch of Pacific Ocean mackerel in tomato sauce has been recalled because the cans may have been contaminated by animal material, the Consumer website reports.
The affected products were the size 425g cans, batch 08146 JTBT1F0, and produced on December 15, 2006, and expiring December 15, 2010. Consumer said the batch was sold early in 2007. It should not be consumed.
Anyone concerned about their health should seek medical advice. Customers should return the product to their retailer for a refund or phone 0800 WHEELER (0800 943-3537).
