The Employment Court has order Port of Lyttelton union workers to work on a container ship due into Christchurch tonight.
The port company lodged an application for the injunction to stop union members from refusing to unload the Lisa Schulte.
Around 150 union members were standing on the picket line in Lyttelton this afternoon refusing to work on the vessel because it was unloaded by non-union members in Auckland.
The Employment Court has now ordered they must unload the vessel which is now in port.
Maritime Union representative Les Wells said he was angry at the decision but they will honour the order given.
