A Lyttelton Port worker's been hospitalised after falling several metres on a ship.
Lyttelton fire crews were called to rescue the worker just before 9am today, after he fell two metres through an open hatch on a container vessel, NewstalkZB reported.
He was in a stable condition in Christchurch Hospital.
Maritime New Zealand will be investigating the incident.
This latest incident follows a raft of injuries at the Port.
