Luxembourg says yes to EU

Voters in Luxembourg bucked the trend by backing the European Union Constitution after their country's Premier, Jean-Claude Juncker, had threatened to quit in the event of a "no" vote.

Of 223,000 eligible voters in the EU's second smallest state, 56.52 per cent backed a constitution whose future is uncertain.
