Lucy Lawless to star in X-Files

Kiwi actress Lucy Lawless is to appear in episodes of the hit television show the "X-Files", the programme's executive producer has said.

The star of "Xena:Warrior Princess", which was recently canned, will appear in the first two shows of the new season, due to air in the United States in November.

It is understood she may do more episodes.

Details regarding the character Lawless will play are not yet known.
